The 2015 Fashion Week San Diego (FWSD) kicked off with the annual Art & Beauty Behind Fashion Runway Show. Lights glistened and models strutted along the catwalk, which ran over the pool of the La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla. This show was all about Art & Beauty… hair, make-up, and nails, oh my!
The glamourous Bellus Academy partnered with FWSD bringing together a night filled with the most picturesque live art. Beau Hufford and Clarione Gutierrez of Launch Live Art are featured above painting this model’s gown live! Headlining the evening was celebrity hairstylist, salon owner, and product developer Ted Gibson!
Making a special appearance that night was La Valencia Executive Chef and San Diego native, James Montejano (above). With his knowledge in the art of food, he was excited to see the amazing work done to transform the FWSD models into living art pieces. Featuring all the upcoming beauty trends for Spring/Summer 2016 the evening was all made possible by the hard work and vision of FWSD founder and director, Allison Andrews (below).
